Cyber Security Consultant

Ciphera is on the lookout for an accomplished Cyber Security Consultant to deliver a spectrum of services at an expert level. Ideal candidates will have a rich background both as a security practitioner and as a consultant, deep technological understanding in cyber security, and a genuine enthusiasm for safeguarding digital assets. Additionally, they must possess a client-centric approach, superior communication abilities, and a keenness to learn and collaborate with leading professionals in the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current security posture, configurations, and strategic approaches, identifying deficiencies, uncovering opportunities, and forecasting future needs.
    Engage in cyber security consultations, including the formulation and execution of cyber security strategies and guiding the development of robust security frameworks.
  • Advocate for effective cyber security strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitate internal training for clients to ensure a comprehensive grasp of essential cyber security principles, risks, and countermeasures.
  • Generate expert-level reports and convey the findings of evaluations to a diverse clientele, crafting tailored plans to mitigate specific cyber threats and weaknesses.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of cyber security experts in the crafting and deployment of assessment tools, services, and industry best practices.

Professional Experience and Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in the cyber security domain, inclusive of:

  • Expertise in security design and architecture.
  • Practical experience in the technical setup and enforcement of cyber security protocols and standards.
  • At least 2 years of consulting experience providing direct value to clients or a proven track record of serving internal clients.
  • Recognition through professional certifications or similar achievements such as CISSP, OSCP, CCIE, CCSE, JNSE, CCDP, CSA, or equivalent military technical training.
  • Demonstrated involvement in IT, security engineering, application security, or related fields with a significant understanding of network security (e.g., routers, firewalls, NG FW & IPS, proxies, WAF, DLP, AD, GPO, EDR, cloud security).
  • Familiarity with authentication protocols, Active Directory, Exchange, Office365, and knowledge of Azure and AWS is a plus.
  • Documented presentation skills and client interaction experience, with the capability to succinctly explain technical details in an easily understandable manner.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under stringent deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken), with native speakers having an edge.
  • An academic degree, preferably in Computer Sciences or a related technical discipline, is beneficial.
